Description
No. 142 on Wallisdown Road is a picturesque cottage built around 1850. It features a ground floor and a semi-attic, constructed from red brick. The cottage has an asymmetrical T-shaped plan, with a lean-to timber verandah-porch positioned at the angle. The windows are mullioned casements with diamond lattice glazing, consisting of three lights with a transom on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. The steeply pitched slate roofs have overhanging eaves and plain bargeboards. A large rectangular chimney breast with two set-offs is located on the west side, adjacent to a single-storey extension. This building is part of a group of listed buildings along Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road.
