Description
Lulworth is a picturesque cottage built around 1860. It has a ground floor and a semi-attic, and is painted white, except for the west gable which is made of buff brick with grey headers. The cottage is designed in an L shape, with the gable end facing the road. There is a gabled brick porch on the side that features a four-centred doorway with a battened door. The windows are mullioned two-light designs, which originally had diamond lattice glazing that has since been removed, and they are topped with Tudor-style stucco hoodmoulds. The roof is slate, with overhanging eaves and plain bargeboards, sloping down low at the rear where there is a single-storey wing that projects. Additionally, there is a lean-to over a rectangular bay on the south side and a canted bay with a hipped roof on the ground floor of the north gable. All the listed buildings along Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road are part of a group.
