Description
No 100 Wallisdown Road is a picturesque cottage built around 1850. It has two full storeys and features a symmetrical stucco facade with a brick plinth, which also extends to the ground floor of the porch. The central porch is gabled and two storeys high, with the first floor overhanging on brackets. The porch has four-centred open arches on three sides and a four-centred doorway. There is one window on each side of the porch, featuring mullioned casements with diamond lattice glazing; the ground floor windows have three lights (recessed) with a transom, while the first floor windows under the gables have two lights. The porch gable and the end gables are adorned with saddle-stones and kneelers, and the cottage has a slate roof. To the west, there is a single-storey wing with a projecting gabled window bay, which also has three lights and diamond lattice glazing. This building is part of a group of listed buildings along Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road.
