Description

This early 19th-century building, originally a house, now functions as two shops at 22 and 22A Broad Street. The exterior is painted limestone ashlar, topped by a single-pitched roof concealed behind a coped parapet. A moulded stack rises from the right gable end. The building is double-depth and has a symmetrical two-window front. The upper floors feature sash windows: three/three-pane sashes on the third floor, and six/six-pane sashes with horns on the second and first floors. The front is finished with a stopped coved cornice. The interior has not been inspected. Later 19th-century alterations have occurred. A shopfront record from Bath City Council, dated 1992, provides further detail.
