Description
25 Broad Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1800 with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar, which is painted on the first floor, and features a roof that is not visible, along with moulded stacks on the right side.
The structure has a double-depth plan and stands four storeys tall with two window ranges. It has a coped parapet and a cornice that slightly returns to the right. The third floor has an eight-over-eight pane sash window, while the second and first floors have paired six-over-six pane sashes with shared sills, all of which lack horns. The shop front includes a cornice above the fascia and features moulded colonnettes flanking a two-pane plate glass window on the right, with a set-back half-glazed door to the left that has a margin paned overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
