Description

34 and 34A Wellsway is a small single house with a shop, built around 1820 and later modified with 20th-century additions. The building features limestone ashlar and a concrete tile roof. It is two storeys high with one window. Above the good late 19th or early 20th-century shopfront, there is a plain sash window. The shopfront is set forward between pilasters with fluted consoles, and it has a deep fascia and cornice that extend over the doorway, which is located in the main wall to the left. This doorway has an early 20th-century glazed door and transom light, with a narrow cheek featuring a pilaster front between the door and the shopfront. The building also has a frieze, cornice, blocking course, and parapet. The interior was not inspected. This listing is included for its group value.
