Description

These are a pair of early 19th-century end-terrace houses located on the west side of Bloomfield Road. They are part of an incomplete terrace, representing the left-hand end of the original design, and have a double-depth plan with mansard roofs. The houses are constructed of limestone ashlar with slate roofs.

The exterior features two storeys, attic and basement, with each property having two windows to each floor, all with simple sash windows. A single dormer window is present on each side. A panelled door with a transom light is situated to the right of each property, accompanied by a glazed lean-to roof over basement windows in the paved area. Architectural details include a ground floor platband, a first-floor sill band, an entablature with a blocking course, and a parapet. The coped party gables are topped with deep ashlar stacks.

The interiors have not been inspected.

Simple, spiked railings extend across the frontage, returning to number 28, but without gates. The terrace was originally intended to be longer, with a further five houses and a pair corresponding with numbers 2 and 4.
