Description

34 and 34A High Street comprise an early 18th-century front applied to a likely 17th-century building. The front is stuccoed, with chamfered quoins. The roof is steep-pitched, tiled, and features gabled dormers. The building is two storeys and has an attic. The ground floor of number 34 contains an early to mid-19th century shop, altered with plate glass replacing original glazing bars. A fascia and cornices curve back at the recessed doorway. Number 34A has a shop front replaced by a modern window with glazing bars. The first floor has two sash windows with glazing bars set within exposed casing. The listed buildings along High Street, up to and including number 118, form a group.
