Description

Nos 88 and 89 High Street are a pair of buildings likely incorporating an earlier timber-frame structure behind an early 19th-century facade. The front is roughcast and stuccoed, with a parapet featuring a small wooden moulding. A steep-pitched roof covered in new tiles extends to gable ends. The buildings are two storeys high and three windows wide. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded casings. The first floor of No 88 features a three-light segmental bow window with sash windows. There are two doorways, each with narrow panelled pilasters and an entablature. The listed buildings from No 1 to No 118 along High Street form a group of buildings of group value.
