Description

Nos 14 and 15 Hawks Lane are early 18th century buildings that were refronted in the late 18th century. They are L-shaped and consist of two storeys with a stuccoed main elevation. The first floor is tile-hung, while the ground floor and side elevation are made of painted brick. The facade features a parapet with stone coping and a hipped tiled roof, which is topped by a brick stack at the back. Each number has one cambered sash window with a moulded architrave, and the glazing bars are intact. There is a simple recessed door with a moulded architrave for No 14 only, while No 15 has a brace. A modern brick lean-to has been added to No 15. These buildings have group value with Nos 2-12 and help to frame the view towards Stour Street.
