No. 17 Stour Street is an early 19th-century building featuring two storeys, attics, and a basement, constructed of painted brick. It has a slate mansard roof with two dormers and three window spaces, although the central spaces are blank. Above the first floor, there are three panelled reveals. The entrance is marked by a round-headed doorcase that retains its glazing bars, and it includes early 19th-century panelled doors accessed by three steps.
