Description

This is an 18th-century house that has been refronted with cement rendering. It is three storeys high, with a basement, and has a rusticated base. The roofline features coping. The house has two windows on the second floor and five on the first floor, with most of the original multi-paned windows remaining. A stringcourse runs along the facade. A particularly fine central doorcase features an open pediment supported by console brackets and panelled reveals. Above the door is a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. The door itself has six fielded panels and is accessed by three stone steps. The ground level has a plinth. The side elevation is clad in tiles.

The building is part of a group that includes numbers 1 and 2, an extension to number 6, and numbers 6 to 15.
