Description
No 35 on High Street is a timber-framed building dating from the 16th or 17th century, with a front that was stuccoed in the 18th century. It has two storeys and features two windows on the first floor, which overhangs and contains two large sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a sash window with glazing bars alongside a modern casement window. There is a doorway on the right, which includes a rectangular fanlight and a fluted case with panelled reveals. The building has a steep-pitched tiled roof, recently re-tiled, with two hipped dormers. The rear is gabled and has new tile hanging. Inside, there are chamfered beams and a large chamfered lintel over the fireplace. All the listed buildings on High Street up to and including No 118 are part of a group.
