Description

Nos 36 and 36A on High Street are early 19th century buildings featuring a rainwater head dated 1823. The exterior is finished in stucco, and the roof is double and hipped, covered with tiles. The eaves are coved and moulded. The building stands three stories tall, with the first and second floors each having two sash windows with glazing bars; the left window on the first floor is wider than the others. The ground floor shows what appears to be an early 20th century alteration of an early 19th century shop front, complete with a fascia and cornice. All the listed buildings on High Street up to and including No 118 form a group.
