Description

This is an 18th-century building on the north-west side of High Street, Sandgate, refaced in the early 19th century. It is three storeys high and has a stuccoed front. The side and rear elevations are clad in weatherboarding. The roof is hipped and covered in old tiles. There is one three-light bay window spanning the second and first floors, without glazing bars. A late 19th-century shop front is present. Numbers 38 to 46 (the even numbers) form a group of buildings, numbers 38 and 40 being identified as buildings of local interest.
