Description

This is a mid-19th century building on High Street, Sandgate. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick, with a slate roof and a stone-coped parapet. The front features two sash windows with vertical glazing bars and cambered heads. A shopfront occupies the ground floor. The rear elevation is weatherboarded and includes a sash window with intact glazing bars. Numbers 38 to 46 (even) form a group, with numbers 38 and 40 being buildings of local interest.
