Description
19 and 19A High Street is a building dating from the 17th century that was refronted in the 18th century. It has three storeys, with the top storey being a later addition. The exterior is finished in stucco and features a parapet with a moulded cornice. There are two sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath flat rusticated arches. On the first floor to the left, there is a later 19th-century canted bay window. The ground floor has a Victorian shop front with a cornice fascia and consoles, and a doorway on the right with a segmental pediment, cornice, and moulded architrave. Inside, the ground floor retains original moulded ceiling beams. This building, along with the other listed buildings on the east side of High Street, forms a cohesive group.
