Description

16 High Street is an 18th-century building that is stuccoed and features a heavy moulded eaves cornice. It stands three storeys tall and is adorned with Ionic fluted pilasters that extend from just above the ground floor to the eaves. The building has two sash windows with glazing bars and blind boxes. There is an early 20th-century shop front that includes a cornice and fascia. The roof is slate and hipped. This Market House, along with the other listed buildings on the east side of High Street, forms a cohesive and attractive group.
