Description
Number 20 on High Street is a 17th-century building that was refronted in the 18th century. It has three storeys and a cellar, with a stucco exterior. The building features a parapet with a moulded cornice and coping. There are three windows on the front, which are sash windows with glazing bars, set within flat arches that have keyblocks. The second floor has a central panel in a moulded surround. At the rear, some timber framing is exposed, and there is an extension that may have once been a separate house. The right-hand return facing Worcester Road has only one window on the second floor. The ground floor has a Victorian shop front with an elliptical light, pilasters, a cornice, and a fascia. Inside, there is a staircase with flat shaped balusters. This building, along with the other listed buildings on the east side of High Street, forms a cohesive group.
