Description

This is an 18th and 19th century building on the High Street. It is a three-storey building with a stucco front and a high parapet, featuring a single window. The window contains two-light casements, likely replacing earlier sash windows. A plain band runs along the second floor level. The ground floor has a shop front dating from the early 19th century, characterised by pilasters at the ends, a wide central entrance, plate glass, and a fascia with a cornice that bows over the doorway. The end wall is tile-hung, and the roof is slate, with a large, flat-roofed dormer hidden behind the parapet. A rear wing is constructed of brick, tile-hung sections, and weatherboard. The building is included on the list for its group value, alongside other buildings on the High Street.
