Description
32, 34, and 34A Lowesmoor is a former farmhouse that has been converted into a house and shop. The building likely has origins from the 17th century and has undergone refronting and later alterations, including shop fronts from the late 19th century and modifications made between 1976 and 1996. It is constructed of reddish-brown brick, which is painted on the front facade, and features a cement tile roof. The structure is two storeys high and has four first-floor windows. The first floor showcases 6/6 sash windows in near-flush frames, with elliptical arches and sills. There are remnants of a three-course band on the first floor. The ground floor has an entrance on the left with a part-glazed door, followed by a glazed shop window. On the right, there is a shop front with end pilasters, corbels, a frieze, plate-glass windows, and a canted part-glazed door. Inside, there are roughly-chamfered axial beams, and the first floor is reported to retain a cast-iron fireplace on the right and beams on the left.
