Description
31, 33, and 35 Lowesmoor is a row of three shops with living accommodation above, built in the early 19th century and altered later, including changes to the ground floor around the 1880s and 1960s. The building is constructed of reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond, with the left side stuccoed. It has a concealed roof and a central brick ridge stack topped with an oversailing course and pots. The structure is three storeys high, featuring a layout of three first-floor windows on the left, two in the center, and two on the right. The first-floor windows include 1/1 and 2/2 sash styles, while the second floor has 1/1, 2/2, and 4/4 sashes, all with sills. The left windows have plain reveals, and those on the right are in near-flush frames with flat stuccoed arches that include keystones. A dentil eaves band runs along the top. The ground floor has an entrance on the left with a part-glazed door and overlight, followed by a plate-glass window. To the left of center, there is a round-arched opening leading to a passage, and then two identical shop fronts that have part-glazed and panelled outer entrances, an overlight set back, and glazed shop windows on plinths, with fascias supported by end pilasters with corbels. The interior has not been inspected.
