Description
21 and 23 Lowesmoor are two houses that have been converted into shops and flats. They date from the late 18th century and have undergone later additions and alterations, including changes made around 1890 and 20th-century shop fronts. The buildings are two storeys high and have three first-floor windows. They are constructed of pinkish-red brick with pots.
On the first floor, there are sash windows with configurations of 8/8, 10/10, and an inserted 4/4; the second floor features 4/8, 4/4, and 2/4 sashes, all set in plain reveals and topped with flat arches made of gauged brick. The eaves are decorated with modillions. The ground floor has two glazed shop fronts set on plinths, with console brackets that support blind boxes and fascias. Each shop has a glazed door to the left, and there is an additional entrance on the right consisting of a renewed six-raised-and-fielded-panel door with a blind overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
