Description
33 and 33A Kirkgate is a house that has been converted into a shop and flat. It was built in the early 19th century and underwent alterations in the late 19th century and around 1988. The building is constructed of brick, primarily rendered and colorwashed, and features a slate roof. The eaves are adorned with half-round brick dentils, and there are two gable stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a four-window range with segment-headed glazing bar sashes, although the central pair of windows is blank. Above this, there is identical fenestration with smaller plain sashes. The late 19th-century shopfront is wooden, featuring pilasters, a cornice, and a splayed central doorway with a glazed door and overlight, flanked by single windows. To the left, there is a close boarded entry door with moulded jambs.
