Description
Two houses, dating from the mid-18th century, later altered in the late 19th and mid-20th centuries, now form two shops. The houses are constructed of brick with concrete tile and pantile roofing. They feature elaborate cogged and dentillated eaves, a single coped gable, and a single gable stack. The building is two and two-and-a-half storeys, with a four-window front. The left side has 20th-century casement windows, while the right side has two glazing bar sash windows, all with segmental heads. Above, two raking dormers with two-light Yorkshire sashes are present on the right side. A near-central wooden doorcase with a pediment supported by scroll brackets leads to a fielded six-panel door. A late 20th-century shopfront with a single window and plastic fascia is on the left. The right side has a late 19th-century wooden shopfront with panelled pilasters and a bracketed fascia cornice. A splayed central doorway has a half-glazed door, flanked by single-pane windows with overlights. To the right of this doorway is a blocked entry.
