Description
These are two late 18th or early 19th century townhouses on Portland Road. They are three storeys and have an attic, built with grey headers and yellow-coloured brick window surrounds. Each house has two sash windows, with the left-hand windows narrower and blind, except for the first floor of number 77 and the ground floor of number 79. Number 77 has an additional door, likely leading to a through passage. The roofs are slate, with a dormer window on each house; number 77’s dormer is a casement and number 79’s has glazing bars. The ground floor of number 79 features a recessed door, while number 77 has a door. Numbers 75 to 89 (the odd numbers) form a group.
