Description

No. 87 Portland Road is a building dating from before 1814, similar in style to the nearby Hare and Hounds. It stands three storeys tall with an attic, featuring painted cobbles and brick quoins. The window surrounds and modillion eaves cornice are notable architectural details. There is one window, which is narrower than that of the Hare and Hounds and has modern casements, positioned to the right of centre. The left side has a modern door, and there are no dormer windows. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 75 to 89 (odd).
