Description
Bentworth Lodge is a villa built around 1840, located on Grafton Road. This carefully composed building has two storeys and is finished in stucco. It features strongly projecting eaves beneath a hipped, slated roof. The central portion of the villa includes two sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with straight moulded hoods above the ground floor windows. The rear of the building is wider, and the angles with the central portion are filled on the ground floor by porches that have moulded entablatures and flat roofs. The left porch has glazed double doors, while the right porch features a single bipartite door with four vertical panels, both facing the front. Above these porches, there are narrow blind windows on the front-facing wall. On each side of the building, there are two sash windows with glazing bars.
