Description
Barclays Bank is a villa that dates back to around 1840 and has been altered since its original construction. The building is made of stucco on brick, featuring sandstone dressings and a hipped slate roof. It has a double-depth plan with a rear wing and stands two storeys tall. The facade has four windows and includes a plinth and a frieze with elongated eaves brackets. To the right, there is a square-headed doorway with a moulded architrave. The ground floor has three windows, each with moulded architraves and altered glazing. The first floor features sashed windows without glazing bars, also with moulded architraves and sills supported on consoles. On the right-hand return side, there is a panelled door with a rectangular overlight, along with 20th-century windows.
