Description

This is an early 19th-century pair of houses located on Spencer Street. Each house is three storeys high and has a single window. They are constructed of red brick with decorative blue brick headers. The roofs are low-pitched and slate-covered, with a visible soffit. A central brick chimney is present. The recessed sash windows have gauged, flat red brick arches and glazing bars. The doorways have round arches, also with glazing bars, and reeded cornice heads. Number 28 features a patterned fanlight above the door. These houses are part of a group that includes numbers 8 to 14 (even) and 18 to 50 (even) on Spencer Street.
