Description

The King's Head is an early 18th-century public house located on the west side of Market Place. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a high-pitched, tiled mansard roof with dormers. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a parapet. The windows have been replaced and are mullioned and transomed, set beneath gauged, segmental brick arches. The ground floor showcases an earlier 19th-century public house front with plain Doric pilasters. The building has a rounded angle at the return on Upper Dagnall Street. The King's Head is part of a group that includes Nos 17 to 23 (odd).
