Description

26 Market Place is a building with an early 18th-century facade that dates back to the 17th century. It has three storeys and three windows, constructed of red brick with a parapet in front of a high-pitched, hipped, tiled roof. The windows feature gauged, segmental brick arches and box frames, with renewed sashes. The ground floor has a 19th-century shop front that includes fluted pilasters and an overhanging fascia with a panelled soffit, supported by cast iron columns that have a quasi-Corinthian design.
