Description
The Wellington Public House is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of Market Place. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of grey brick with red dressings. The building features sash windows that are four panes wide, with three of these spanning the entire front. Although the shop and bar fronts have been modernized, the pub retains an attractive octagonal lantern that is suspended from a bracket, likely dating from the late 19th century. The first-floor right-hand window is a modern addition, designed in a mullion and transom casement style. The building has plain eaves with a gutter and a flat pitched slate roof. The Wellington Public House is part of a group that includes Nos 17 to 23 (odd).
