Description
25 Verulam Road is an early 19th-century building that incorporates the former No 23. It has two storeys and a basement, with three windows on the front. The structure is made of red brick and features a double-span roof with a moderate pitch, covered in large slates. There is a brick eaves cornice.
On the first floor, the sash windows have glazing bars and are set in flush, moulded frames, although the centre window has been blocked. The ground floor on the left has an earlier 19th-century shop window, while on the right is a sash window with glazing bars in a flush, box frame, which is situated under a gauged, segmental brick arch. The central door, which is accessed by four steps, consists of two glass panels and four flat panels, set in a panelled reveal with wooden pilasters and a cornice hood. Additionally, there is a small shop located in the basement.
