Description
27 and 27A, College Street are likely a building dating from the 16th or 17th century, with a Georgian facade. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. It has a high-pitched tiled roof. The first floor is pebble-dashed and features sash windows in slightly projecting box frames. The ground floor is rendered white. All windows are set within moulded wooden frames with shallow, segmental heads and contain glazing bars. A modern door is located at No 27A. No 27 has a 19th-century shop window on the ground floor. The east return features a flint plinth and is weatherboarded on the first floor. Nos 1 to 27A (odd) form a group.
