Description

Nos 27 and 27A on St Peter's Street feature an early 18th century facade that belongs to an earlier timber-framed building. The structure is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick, with an oversailing first floor. It has an old tiled roof that includes two hipped dormers and a bracket cornice. The building has two double hung sash windows with intact glazing bars. The shop fronts date from the early 19th century, with one featuring panelled risers. The doorcase of No 27 is adorned with reeded pilasters and a rectangular fanlight. Nos 19 to 27A form a group.
