Description
Nos 81 and 81A on Castle Street feature a mid-18th century front attached to an earlier building. The structure has two storeys and attics, with the first floor tile-hung and the ground floor constructed of brick. It displays a wooden modillion eaves cornice and includes five sashes with intact glazing bars. The shopfronts for Nos 81 and 81A are modern, while No 82 retains an early 19th century shopfront with two slightly curved bows and a rectangular fanlight. The side elevation of No 82 features three dormers and six sashes. Nos 68 to 77 and Nos 80 to 82 form a group.
