Description

These are three late 18th-century townhouses on Newton Street, originally known as Brunswick Terrace. They are two storeys tall, with a tall basement and an attic, and have a parapet and a pantile roof punctuated by three flat-topped dormers. The windows are double-hung sashes, with one casement window to number 4. The houses are constructed of brick, with three brick chimneys. Numbers 2 and 3 feature paired doorcases with open pediments, Ionic pilasters, blank honeysuckle decoration above the doors in a semi-circular fanlight shape, and tall stone steps with iron railings. Number 3 has a modern glass door, while number 4 has a single door of six panels, with two glazed panels.
