Description

44 and 45 Baxtergate are early 19th century buildings that stand three storeys tall with attics, constructed from ashlar stone. They feature paired doors beneath an open dentilled pediment, which is adorned with two round, radiating fanlights. The doors are six-fielded panel designs with plain pilasters on either side, and there is a stone cornice above. The buildings have a pantile roof and two windows on the main façade, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Additionally, there are two segmental-topped, two-light casement dormers. These buildings, along with Nos 44 to 47 and Nos 48A and 48B, form a cohesive group.
