These are two 18th-century brick buildings located on Baxtergate. They are three storeys high and feature stone quoins and a stone cornice. A stone band runs between the second and third floors. The buildings are topped with a parapet. They have five windows each, each with a stone flat arch, flush window frames, and no glazing bars. A central stone doorway is accentuated by an architrave and a heavy cornice. Modern shop fronts have been installed. The buildings are part of a group that includes numbers 44 to 47 on Baxtergate.
