Description

This is an early 19th century pair of houses, located at numbers 24 and 26 Hungate. The houses are built of yellow brick and extend to two storeys. Number 24 has two windows, which are painted, while number 26 has three. They have a slate roof with a wide eaves soffit. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a gauged flat arch. The entrances are arched and recessed, with radial bar fanlights above six-panel doors. Numbers 2 to 14 (even), numbers 18, 20, 20A, and numbers 22 to 26 (even) form a group. The buildings are of group value.
