Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses located on Friary Road, Southwark. The houses are built of yellow brick with a low-pitched roof hidden behind a coped parapet. Each house has two storeys and three bays. A projecting stucco centre piece features round-arched recessed doorways, with a band marking the spring of the arch. The ground-floor windows are round-arched, with stucco impost blocks; the windows on number 121 are sash windows, while those on number 123 are casements. Gauged, flat brick arches are above the sash windows on the first floor. The interior was not inspected during listing. Numbers 121, 123, and 127-151 (odd numbers) form a group of buildings of group value.
