Description
77 Maltravers Street is an early 19th-century building constructed from nodular flint with brick dressings. The front is pebbledashed, and it features a pitched slate roof with red brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and is adorned with a brick modillion eaves cornice. There are three ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The doorcase is notable for its pilasters, fluted capitals, and a dentilled pediment that frames a six-panelled door and a semi-circular fanlight set in panelled reveals. Access to the entrance is via three ashlar steps, and there is one casement window with glazing bars located in the cellar. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 45 to 63 (odd), 67 to 73 (odd), and 77 to 83 (odd), along with Nos 46 to 62 (even), as well as the pavements and railings.
