Description
The Arundel River Board building, dating from the 18th century, features a south elevation that was modified in the mid-19th century. The south side is constructed of grey brick headers with red brick dressings and a first-floor string course, along with rubbed brick voussoirs. The north elevation is made of red brick with grey headers, while the east elevation is built from beach flint with red brick dressings. The west elevation is rendered. The building has a pitched tile roof with two hipped extensions to the north, and the east chimney is made of red brick, while the west chimney is rendered.
The structure is two storeys high and includes a red brick modillion eaves cornice. The south elevation is double-fronted, featuring two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor and three on the first floor. There is one door that is obscured by a modern porch. The north elevation has two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, one casement window with glazing bars, and one planked door with glazed panels; all other openings on this side are modern.
