Description

This is an early 18th-century building, with deeds dating from 1725. It is constructed of nodular flint, with the west elevation utilising beach flint, and has red brick dressings. The roof is tiled, with red brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high, with attics. A red brick modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The west elevation has two ranges of casement windows with glazing bars, and one blocked, segment-headed window on the first floor. There are two round-arched doorways, one with a planked door and the other filled in with a modern casement window with glazing bars. The east side has two 19th-century attic dormers, which have tile-hung sides, gabled roofs and casement windows with glazing bars. One first-floor casement window with glazing bars is also present, although the remainder of the east side is obscured by an adjacent stable building.
