Description
The former stables to No 51 on Maltravers Street, located on the west side of Baker's Arms Hill, date from the late 18th century, as indicated on an 1785 map. The building is constructed of red brick, featuring grey header voussoirs, and has a hipped slate roof. It is one storey high with attics. The stables have two segment-headed planked coach doors, one of which is partly modern, and two semi-circular loft doors. A brick modillion eaves cornice adorns the structure. Additionally, the red brick wall includes a segment-headed recess with a brick drinking trough in front.
