Description

The building consists of six octagonal, tapering cast iron posts located at the north end of Kings Arms Hill. Each post features shallow conical caps, with "C and H Tickell, Southampton" in relief on one side and "Arundel Corporation 1819" on the other. The metal rings on the caps indicate that these posts were originally situated in High Street and were used for tying up animals during market days.
