  1. Across North end. 6: octagonal, tapering cast iron posts with shallow conical caps, and "C and H Tickell, Southampton" in relief on one side, "Arundel Corporation 1819" on the other. Metal rings on the caps suggest these were originally in High Street, and used for attaching beasts during markets.
