Description

This is a late 18th-century building with iron railings. The building itself is red brick, with nodular flint on the north side, and has a pitched slate roof and a rendered chimney. It is three storeys high with a basement, and features a brick modillion eaves cornice. The windows are double-hung sash windows, with glazing bars on the first and second floors, one on the ground floor, and a casement with glazing bars in the basement. The front door is six-panelled (with the top four panels fielded) and is topped by a semi-circular fanlight, set within panelled reveals. The doorway is framed by plain pilasters supporting a fluted frieze and pediment. Iron railings with fleur-de-lys finials run around the basement. The railings contribute to the group value of numbers 36 to 64 (even), 70 to 74 (even), and numbers 83, 85, and 91 to 101 (odd).
