Description
33 Tarrant Street is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick, with the east elevation featuring nodular flint and red brick dressings. It has a hipped tile roof and stands three storeys tall. The building showcases a brick modillion eaves cornice. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay that includes three double-hung sash windows with a cornice above, alongside a six-panelled door set in a moulded frame topped with a pediment supported by consoles. An elaborate mid-19th century knocker adorns the door. A wooden beam flush with the brickwork above all ground floor openings suggests these features may have been added later, as does a deeply recessed double-hung sash cellar window located beneath the canted bay. The first and second floors each have two flush-framed double-hung sash windows with glazing bars.
