Description
Nos 11 and 13 on Arun Street are 18th-century terraced cottages. They feature grey headers with red brick dressings and an eaves cornice adorned with cynic reverse modillions. The cottages have a first-floor string course and voussoirs made of gauged and rubbed red brick, topped with a pitched tile roof. Each gable end has brick parapets and red brick chimneys. The buildings are two storeys high with attics, each having one window range and one dormer, all fitted with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. There is a blocked window above the doors, and each cottage has a segment-headed planked door with one ashlar step leading up to it, along with a trap door to the cellar. Notably, No 11 features a canted bay shop window with glazing bars and a moulded cornice. Nos 4 to 18 (even) and Nos 1 to 13 (odd) are part of a group that includes Nos 67, 69, and 69A Tarrant Street.
